PURPOSE/DESCRIPTION OF PROCESS
This Horizontal glass accumulator for curved windshields is used for transferring and stacking of the curved glass.
This glass accumulator is used to temporarily store glass and act as a process buffer. Accumulators are usually placed before or after certain processes that may be affected by inconsistent piece flow, or processes that require normal shutdown. For example, some tempering furnaces may require a consistent workpiece flow to help maintain a consistent processing temperature. An accumulator ahead of the furnace can be used in a normal full mode: if the upstream process stops for a short period, the accumulator can then feed the furnace with parts until the upstream process begins again.
